Visit to my rheumatologist

Had an appointment with the rheumatologist as I had to change back to enbrel as the benapali didn't work for me. Appointment went well all okay and will be sent another appointment in a few months. I must have been all of 100 yards from the clinic on the way to my car and went over on my ankle thank goodness I had my stick with me. Got home and it was really sore, took my shoe off and it began to swell up and the pain was really bad! Yes I've broken a bone in my foot!!! Fingers crossed it will be better for Christmas. Will it take longer to heal as I've also got osteoporosis? I haven't been out since I did it but they have given me a big boot to wear. I'm going to try it out on Wednesday when I go for my hair cut, wish me luck!!!

I am so glad they have a boot on you and hopefully you have no problem navigating around with this. Hugs and prayers for the holidays.

Ouch I bet that hurt darling. You should have gone straight round to A&E my darling. It is a month until Christmas so if your careful you should be ok, but take it easy and wear that boot all day darling. Hope it heals by Christmas. Hugs. xxx

That was very unfortunate, poor you. Depends which bone and type of fracture too. I had a big boot for 6-7 weeks after an avulsion fracture of the cuboid bone. I was told to weight bear, short walk only.

Biologic drugs slow healing. Not sure if Enbrel is one...

I hope it heals quickly anyway!

Good luch with your broken foot. I'd be interested to know how you get on when going back on Enbrel after failed benepali. It never worked as well for me when I went back on it and eventually stopped working altogether. Hope you have better results

Hi fizbom,

All the best for quick healing so you can enjoy your Christmas.

I am not sure about Enbrel as I keep taking it but hate the blood test results

as my CRP is still high. 50!! this week. I do keep active and try and ignore the

RA by enjoying bubbles and having as much fun as I can. I cannot wash my hair

as my right elbow gives me so much pain. I have a gorgeous hairdresser who works

from home so makes it affordable for me.

Happy days.
