hi, i got arthritis at the age of 19. I been depressed on bed for 3 years and this is what i was diagnosed with. Arthritis in the ribs and inflammation. The pain has been chronic almost feels this been going on for years, in never ending pain and agony. I am 20 now and it has been hard to get out of bed because the pain. But i am slowly getting into yoga and stretching to reduce some pain. I'm here to make some connections and for support. :) hopefully i can give what i know to help others too. :)

Hello you and welcome to NRAS, we all are good for sanity and yelling moments on here so I am so glad you have joined us.

To be 20 and battle with what you have must be tough but it is also fantastic you have started to do yoga and get that body moving. Movement is so important and even if it takes longer than most it is still a good thing.

So welcome and reach out when you need to and maybe there will be someone on here who can help or understand your arthritis.

Hi Yogi and welcome,

Hopefully we can be a good support network for getting more active and living as positive as possible with this arthritis ‘gift’. Please ask any Qs you needs and share your experiences so we may deepen our own understanding.

All the best

Ali

Welcome to the forum. This is a great place for advice and support. Yoga is a good way of improving mobility and strength. Have you been started on any medication?
