I was diagnosed at 58 but I think I had this for a lot longer as suffering many years, it runs in my family on girls side , my sister died at 65 and I’m now 63 and her daughter has it since her 30s .

How are you doing on benepali now? I just started Amgevita two weeks ago but must not have my second injection (every two weeks) as I am fighting a virus this week.
If it's any consolation, I was told when diagnosed that my life expectancy was mid-50s. I'm now late seventies, damaged but actively enjoying life.
Hi, I'm the same, diagnosed this year at 58 but had symptoms since my 40's. Don't know of anyone else in the family that has it but my mum has psoriasis and bronchiectasis, so I think there may be a connection there.
So sorry about your sister, did she have RA for many years? I think meds have come on a lot the last 15 years & some of us are lucky to be able to have them & a fair amount of people on here are perhaps way over your sisters age...xx
My gran had Rheumatic Fever, follwed by RA since the 1930s and apart from it affecting her heart, she lived well into her 80s after a full life after having 6 children (5 singles and a set of twins.).
