I think its week four now for ne, though.i skipped it because it.wad my birthday week.
Am still getting pretty wiped out and to cap it all.my knee is flaring. Its so painful i cant get to do my blood tests as i live in Hertfordshire and i have to go to mile end in east london. Basically i spend most of the day in bed and my partner is getting fed up with it as we cant do anything. I must be getting a bit confused as i focus on stupidities like wheres a particular item of clothing or i get wound up. Now i ve had to rebook a holiday as no way I can see meself getting on a train to gatwick. Fed up!

I felt pretty bad on the tablets then swtiched to the injections they are so much better. Simple to use as its just like a pen you push into your skin. Less feeling as tired and sick.
Sorry to be the party pooper but you do need to take meds regularly to gain control of this horrible disease. Often the side effects will diminish with time, if not metoject may be an option. But skipping doses early in treatment most probably will not allow your body to settle and adjust to the new regime....and is not helping your RD.
You need 12 weeks of regular medication to see if MTX is working or not, with no weeks off, it's decision time...compliance with meds will help you be the best you can be.
Remember the folic acid too, taking it 6 days a week helps some people cope better with MTX.
Thanks.. i know youre right. Yesterday was a bad day, i get my folic acid in a weekly dosage and took it yesterday. Today, i ve been up doing some washing and my mood is better. Ups and downs I guess!
