I have come off methotrexate and Embrel (was on them 5 years) due to to many infections, my question is Im going on the new drug olumiant but I have very low disease activity, do I start these new things or wait for a flare up?I have been off these injections for 3 months now, its been amazing but I know its not going to last. thanks in advance

Discuss this with your medical team. Yes if you feel ok then they might agree that it's worth seeing if you can maintain no/low disease activity without drugs. However the other possibility is that if you do start to flare then you risk some permanent damage and it could take much longer for the new drug to work.
I’ve always overlapped drugs, so didn’t stop taking old ones until new one had a chance to work - but I guess that’s because they didn’t stop working completely but just weren’t enough to control the disease. I've never managed to taper off drugs completely, so great that you’ve managed 3 months!
Call your rheumatology nurse...she will explain how & when you take all your medication. It’s probably best to do that now...in case you were meant to start taking jt when you got the scrip!
In future when changing drugs ,do try to remember to ask all those questions....your Rheumatologist really should have told you verbally or given you a written instruction leaflet.
