Hi everyone, I'm a newbie. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and Sjogrens disease about 2 years ago. I struggled to walk in the mornings with my toes being so stiff and swollen and my wrists and fingers stiff and sore. I'd always been a keep fit fanatic but was unable to do much. I'm on methotrexate injections, folic acid and dry eye drops and other than tiredness I'm feeling good. I run 4 times a week and love it. I know it will not always be like this but I'm enjoying it while I can. I have had a few flare ups but I'm finding that eating healthier helps me. It's nice to read about people that are going through the same thing as me. Sorry for the long post!

Good to hear that you are doing well and can continue running. It's always nice to hear the good news as we so often only remember to post when we are having problems.
Im feel your pain for I too have these and Lupaus too. I find that going to the pool several times a week. working out in water makes exercising easier and does help a great deal. I am no mextrate for It stopped working since being on it for 15 years. Vitamin D was low so taking 2000 units twice a day.
Hello Newbie:
Sorry to hear about your diseases. Yes I agree, if you enjoy running keep it up while you can.
You talked about dry eyes, someone told me that their doctor
suggested that Omega 3 will help with that.
No harm in trying
Take care and good luck.
Thank you all for your replies! Itโs nice to hear from others experiencing the same problems and especially the people who have had to live with their illnesses for a long time. ๐
