My primary dr did a sed rate which was negative and the RA factor was negative. Rheuma dr did a CCP test which also was negative. How can they diagnose RA when everything is seronegative? Thanks to all.

Hi Trukay,
Apart from blood tests they also go on
X-rays and Ultrasound scans of bones to see whether there is any deterioration.
Hi Pamela, thanks for the reply. My primary also did xrays of my hands which were the most painful and they too showed no degenerative changes 😥
I am seronegative too. All my bloods except a low white cell count are normal. But I have all the symptoms of RA, aches, joint stiffness, brainfog, fatigue and very importantly synovitis in my hand and feet joints - shown by MRI scan. Around 10 % of people with RA do not have the blood markers, but have RA.
It sounds positive thst yiur Dr has diagnosed RA based on your symptoms as you can receive appropriate care.
