Hi friends
So is it just me who feels like this
Pain sitting . I get so uncomfortable after 8pm I need to lay down. I use to like to watch the late films at the weekend but I can’t stay up anymore x

I'm the opposite..struggle to get going but by night time I'm awake!!
I am ok at getting to sleep but sitting too long hurts me . Even an hour or so x
No, I get sore sitting too.
Bed can be such an escape at times, but lying too long is problematic too and I need to get up !
I'm fortunate i don't work , so can go with the flow. I don't try to fight it anymore, just sink into it
Thank goodness it’s not just me .
I did mention to my new Rhuematology doc. He made a note of it.
I am like that too body says move me thus I move
I have problems sitting for too long too. Hard seats are the worse. I have to get up and walk around ( or hobble around 😁) I really miss going to the cinema but I just can’t sit that long and I’m always fidgeting changing position. I’m a nightmare 😊
Absolutely ME ! 🙄
I got pillow and two blankets on my seat ! ahhhhhhhhhhhh
Yes, I dread going anywhere that I have to sit for more than half an hour. I often go to bed early because it's the only place that I can get comfortable.....now have a tv in my bedroom.
Do you do any stretching? That's made a big difference for me.
Yes but I don’t find it doesnt do anything for me .
I do brilliant to help me during the day . I think my feet just give up by 8.30 but I've been up since 5.30 so that maybe why lol . I find keeping moving is my only relief for hip and back but it's a killer for the feet . YouTube have some fab stretch exercises 👍
I’m up at 5am too but even when I get a lie in I’m just as bad
Snap I think it's children and shift work . I wouldn't mind but my youngest is nearly 18 so I really don't need to get up . The bonus to a early rise is the bird song . Nothing quite beats a sunrise 🌅 dawn chorus and a cup of tea . Happy first day of spring 🌷
Me too so i go to bed early and watch TV xx
Over the years I bought a Stressless chair when I had neurosurgery for spinal cord compression - good back and neck support. However, it's too low now for my hips. My hips gave out and needed replacing, so I had an armchair from the company that advertises on the back of magazines! That enables me to sit feet flat on floor, knees at a right angle, hips at a right ankle etc. Now my ankle needs replacing and is constantly swollen, I have a Navona reclining sofa (from the company that always has a sale on!) that is high at the back for head, shoulder and back support and also helps alleviates some of the ankle pain in reclining position. The NHS also gave me a perching stool when I had my THR's which I sit on at the dining table.
Personally, I dislike other people's seating, it's never the right kind and I can't wait to get home and sit on my own chairs. This includes GP and hospital seating.
This might help some of you. Recommend by a physiotherapist. Basically stretching exercises. I have an unstable back. Bits move out of place causing pain. Doing these keep me aligned and more supple. Suggest you do them morning noon and night. Try it for 3 days. If no improvement it’s not for you. If it helps, you will work it out for yourself how often you need to do it. Can’t do you any harm. Takes 5 minutes once you’ve got the hang of it.
I can’t paste the URL into here but type in google “NHS back stretches”. You will see video’s. Picture of a guy with glasses. Take it from there and good luck.
Me too!
My husband moans when I say I'm going to bed at 8.30 but its the only place I can get comfortable. Got a new recliner from that company on the back of magazines but even that dosen't help after a while. I laid on my back with my legs up the wall and that was bliss but you can't see much.
So glad you brought this subject up. I read all the replies and yes flying anywhere is a nightmare. I am not a drinker but on one long flight I ordered a beer and it seemed to relax the muscles in my buttocks and hips. Painkillers don't last. When sitting at home I rub a heatrub on my hips an derrier and that keeps me going a bit longer... otherwise it's bed for the only relief I can find. I must add that didn't repeat the beer solution!
I’m in bed right now . Can’t sit any longer 😢
I don’t drink either so that’s out of the question
am a 9 - 5 with sleep
