I have been tested for Lupus but it was neg, it just show RA
also my joints don't swell that much,
I am not questioning RA
in too much pain to question it
just wondered if others with RA have a rash on their faces too when they flare???

I don't get a 'rash' but I do get very red cheeks, butterfly like pattern but I too was negative for lupus.
Yes I do. I had a rash all over my face a few times.
Possibly Rosacea. You can get creams and gels for it. nhs.uk/conditions/rosacea/
Yes I have Rosacea, it is very similar to the lupus rash . I find that Rosacea reacts badly to nearly all face creams. I have been using Childs Farm Baby Eczema cream lately on my rosacea and it helps it.
Depending on what the rash looks like... Just red skin or redness accompanied with pimple-like bumps....
I suggest you research Rosacea (also automimmune) as well as demodex mites on humans.
I was told I have rosacea... Turned out to be the latter... Since I've been treating with ivermectin cream for the last 2 months... Finally starting to get clear again.
Now the odd part... Not related to any big flares, just happened.
Apparently, when we are super stressed... Or have low immunity...wait for it.....these mites (which we all have on our faces and in our lashes) multiply causing rosacea like symptoms!!
So yeah, it could be a case of these suckers. Most doctors are completely unaware that these babies even exist.
Then again I've been dealing with non stop hiveous rash all over my body since April. On and off. Had 3 biopsies. Been to over 10 different doctors, had allergy prick and patch tests, blood work etc, you name it. All negative. It's a mystery. Lucky me.
