Thank you everyone who responded to my last post. I’ve just had my second blood test done since being on MTX and the results of the first one is CRP 4 and ESR or PV 5 , does anyone know what this means?

It means that the methotrexate has brought your inflammation down to normal levels. Which is good!

I didn’t think MTX started working for at least 12 weeks

Depends....for me it started working at 9 weeks and for others even quicker. How high were your readings when you started it?

It's a good idea to keep track of the i formation yourself, so start noting down all these things. You are the expert on your own body, so good to work out what's normal for you.

Any CRP less than 10 is perfectly normal so mtx appears to be working without adding to the problems. It’s an inflammation marker as well as an infection marker too. Hopefully this means that you’re feeling better because they use these to check your inflammation levels. However in my experience they can appear to be normal but I can still be in agony. But no worries with mtx all good 😃
