I had both knees injected yesterday...one has had replacement so it didn’t hurt. BUT the other nearly made me pass out from pain. Not sure if I tensed up to the point I pulled hamstring, but an hour after the shot, I started having hamstring cramps. Thought it was temporary but almost 24 hrs later, still hurting. Any thoughts on whether I could have strained leg enough to cause this?

Hamstring cramps after knee injections
Hello, May I ask why they injected the knee which had been replaced? My GP and the specialist at the hospital always make a great deal about not putting a needle into my replacement knee for fear of introducing any infection. Any knee injections I have had in the past have always been fine and pain free when done at the hospital, my GP did it once and it was bad, he obviously did not do them as often and competently as the hospital and it did hurt for 24 hours (but not as bad as yours has).
Speaking of knee replacement, how long have you had yours and have you been able to actually kneel down?? My doc says I should be able to by now but I do have some nerve damage from my surgery.
It sounds like you pulled your hamstring muscle. I pulled mine in both legs in 2014 and they have not healed, possibly because of my RA. My rheumatologist has recommended therapy which I’ve yet to go to. Going to try therapy next week. Anyway hope your leg recovers soon
