should I take my methotrexate with 2 massive insect bites?

Hi all, went walking Monday in woodland and now have 2 almighty bites on the back of both legs which are a bit grumpy to say the least. I am wondering if I should leave my methotrexate off this week so these can settle down and then I can take antihistamine too. Also on benepali due Friday. I have always reacted to bites like this so that's normal but just wondering about immune system now needing to work a little harder!

my question is does anyone else have experience of this with bites and did you take your methotrexate or miss a dose?

I have taken antihistamines with MTX.... given that I am covered in bites from horseflies I have to otherwise would go mad!

If there is any sign of it being infected, rather than just an angry reaction then all the leaflets say you shouldn't take your benepali.

Cheers yes that's what I thought, decided to leave off methotrexate anyway just in case and checking with GP... bloody flying things, hate them! Joints just settled too on the combination of meds, typical!
