No, but if you have a temperature over 100F /38.7C for over 24 hours go and see your GP.

My MTX was raised to 20mgs two months ago and I've had really hot flushes off and on ,it's being changed to 15mgs when this lot is finished .It also wiped me out ,had terrible fatigue and a feeling of depression and horrible nausea, can't wait to change back 😖

I have been on Methotrexate tablets for years but now only a low dose because it makes me feel so poorly and nauseous. I tried the injections to start with but they were even worse - lying down all day unable to do anything and feeling dreadful! You could speak to your nurse or doctor about taking a low dose methotrexate along with another DMARD.

I hate this medication so much, but my doctor insists on it. I have been on Humera with it, but suffered muscles ache so much, so my Dr. stopped it snd increased Methatroxate; it will be for awhile until my body is clear; then, she will put me on other medication as she told me. I hate the feeling that you’re helpless and has no energy to walk around the house.

alghamdimanal, yes !!!!

absolutely. ..my temp ranges between 37.5 and 38 c for 3/4 days after upping the dose of MTX and I feel very hot.

I mentioned my raised temperature to my rheumatologist and the connection I had made to the MTX increase, she dismissed me and said it was the menopause, and persisted with the menopause theme despite me telling her I had an early menopause which ended over 15 years ago.

I've been quite unwell with the incresase last week, and see the rheumatologist next week. I intend raising the subject again.

Do let me know if you manage to get an explanation ?

I made a connection between fever and Methotrexate because when I started this medication two years ago I had same problem; this week I am feeling much better, but I started to have sever sore throat and I know for sure this is caused by the Methotrexate.
