NRAS Group Meetings— Week Commencing 9th July 2018

Great Yarmouth NRAS Group

The Great Yarmouth & Waveney NRAS Group meet in the ‘Buzz Room’ of the Louise Hamilton Centre, James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, NR31 6LA from 5:30pm-7:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month.

10th July - John Chenery, Fire Safety in the home

Mid Somerset NRAS Group

Meetings are held at the Taunton Rugby Club, Hyde Lane, Bathpool, Taunton TA2 8BU.

Tuesday 10th July 7pm - Guest speaker: Russell Thorne, Musculoskeletal Exercise and Rehabilitation Instructor will present: 'Moving forward with exercise'

Cambridge NRAS Group

This new NRAS Group is holding meetings at the Queen Edith Chapel, Wulfstan Way, Cambridge, CB1 8QN from 7:15pm - 8:45pm (refreshments from 7:15pm, guest speaker from 7:30pm).

11th July - Guest speaker: Po Chu Ma, Occupational Therapist will present - 'The Role of Occupational Therapy for RA'

Mid Cornwall NRAS Group

The Mid Cornwall NRAS Group meet at Carnon Downs Village Hall, Tregye Road, Carnon Downs, Truro TR3 6GH every other month on a Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm

11th July - Alan Hughes, Holistic and Complementary Therapist specialising in Tai Chi and Qigong, will be giving a talk on the benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong and demonstrating some movements and exercises

Weston-super-Mare NRAS Group

Meetings are held in Conference Room 3 at The Campus, Highlands Lane, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 7DX monthly on a Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm .

July 11th - Guest speaker, Karen Low will be talking about Reflexology

Worcester NRAS Group

Bi-monthly meetings take place on Wednesdays between 6.45pm to 8.30pm at the Lyppard Hub in Ankerage Green, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 0DZ.

11th July - Linda Baldwin from DIAL - Disability Information and Advice Line, will present: 'What benefits are available?'

North Lincolnshire (Grimsby)

This group will hold their meetings in: the large meeting room at Cromwell Road Fire Station, Grimsby, DN31 2BN (plenty of free parking) once every other month on a Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm.

12th July - Social evening plus Q&A regarding who you would like to speak at the group in future

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!

There is a meeting of the Gwent group at the Library, Caerphilly between 10am and 12 on Saturday 14th July. This will be an interchange of information and experience (as the speaker planned is unable to attend). Refreshments and raffle 50p suggested.

All welcome, paid parking with a few free spaces for disabled opposite but also a Farmers market there so a bit restricted. Parking at the station nearby is free, access from Venn Road.
