I've been on medrol for over a year. I've noticed the skin on my hands has thi nes and my veins now show. My hands appear older than the rest of me. Also lots of spider veins on my face and legs. I'm hoping to get off medrol at some point. Will the spider veins on my face disappear after I'm off steroids? Will my skin regain its thickness?

Lots of veins
I have the same it really gets me down and I totally believe its to do with the disease and meds although the doctors always dismiss it and say its a coincidence. I think it’s one of those other side effects we just have to deal with but I had a look and some creams help ones with vitamin E, i’m sure if off the meds it will get better for sure but unfortunately I am on them for life x
I had very Prominent veins in my hands long before I took any RA drugs, in fact since my teens.
I used to sit on trains & buses looking at people's hands, & it surprising how many people have this.
Now I'm glad as phlebotomists love me....never any problem drawing blood or inserting a cannula!
I wouldn't worry about, nobody but you probably notices it....unless you were on one of the buses when I was looking!!!
Hi all, thread veins. or spider veins are an issue for a lot of people. There are a number of places that can help treat and remove these veins for you. I would recommend Dr Newmans Clinic. They have a clinic at Glasgow Medical Rooms in the City Centre - drnewmansclinic.co.uk/threa...
