Lanzsoprazole and Quinoric (Hydroxychloroquine)

Does anybody take both of these medications. I take Lanzsoprazole first thing in the morning on rising and quinoric with my breakfast. Sometimes the time between taking these is only about an hour and I’m wondering if I’m leaving enough time and concerned that my quinoric might not be working because of this.

I take the stomach protector first thing, and the hydroxy a few hours later - probably not quite 4 hours but both seem to work.

Hi there. One of my sons friends is a pharmacist and he said at least 4hrs between doses.I take a big dose of these and sometimes can be hard to work out.

Sorry meant to say that I am never sure if the hydroxychloroquine does anything but taking it anyway.

I take Omeprazole which is another PPI and SSZ. I was told by the pharmacist 30 mins to an hour between to ensure the SSZ works OK, not dependent on which is taken first. That said, I only found that out some years after taking both, not been told previously. Probably best to check with a pharmacist. These days I only take Omeprazole once every couple of days, originally I'd been told one twice a day (as I had had ongoing stomach lining issues for some years) but that was probably contributing to issues absorbing iron and other vitamins through the stomach so it was after some years (and different GP) dropped down to one a day (I gather it should only have been twice a day for a short period of time but my previous GP never said this) and now one every few days unless having issues then one a day.

Thanks to everyone replying to my post. I have since spoken with my pharmacist and she seems to think two hours between them should be okay. It’s all very confusing everybody has been told different. I could do without it being 4 hours, I would have to wake up at 4am !
