So today to add to my other pains with RA I have a sharp headache behind my right ear. I've done some research & it seems to be called occipital neuralgia. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever suffered from this pain?
New issue: So today to add to my other pains with RA I... - NRAS
New issue
Yes, although I get it as an add-on when my neck nerves are troubling me. I have cervical spondylosis (neck OA) & it happens usually when I've been doing too much or it can happen when I'm reaching for something. It's usually gone by the next day, not sure if it's because I've taken my evening dose of pregabalin & amitriptyline as both can be effective for nerve & muscle pain. If it becomes worse or extends to longer than a couple of days or so it might be an idea to see your GP. If you have one of those neck wheaty bags that are microwaveable that might ease it a little.
Yes but it was a little infected had to have antibiotic never had it b4
Self diagnosis can be dangerous so if its not gone by now ring NHS advice line please.
Yeah - Dr. Google can be your friend, or your worst nightmare. My grandmother used to get everything that came along... =)
I have been experiencing something similar as yet undiagnosed but will discuss at next review on 15 May
Oh yes, it's awful. It's caused by my back and neck problems. Neck exercises really help. Just the simple up down, left to right ones. Also what really help me was placing a hot water bottle right over the occipital bone. Sone folks might prefer cold.
