Lots of information on the NRAS website about the various treatments for you to look at.

And if you let us all know which biologic, I'm sure people on it will tell you how they have got on!

Biologics can be highly effective but do leave you susceptible to certain infections. Good luck. They were a "silver bullet" against my RA.

Cimzia has improved my condition dramatically. As already mentioned please look at the NRAS web pages for your specific medication.

This is a reply I gave another member the other day, it might help you too.

You don't say which biologic but if this is your first treatment away from DMARDs it will be an anti-TNF you'll be starting I would think. This from NRAS is a comprehensive list of each, what the med is, how it's delivered & possible side effects, hope it's helpful nras.org.uk/anti-tnfa-treat...

This might also be of help nras.org.uk/data/files/Publ...

I started on infusions and now I am injections once a week, I have been on Tocilizumab for around 3 years no real side effects since I started the injections, only headaches before on infusion day but that stopped when I started drinking more water. I had a response to the drug very quickly and have zero inflammation and I am in clinical remission now. I still have pain but that is because it took around eight years to bring this about so I have joint damage and osteoarthritis in my finger joints and nodules on the joints. I swim 3/4 times a week now and I feel that I finally have some sort of life back.

Tocilizumab is the one my sister has been taking. If you put the name in the search box, there are quite a few answers there from people taking it.
