As I had some problems with my I pad, I have had to change a lot of things. I am not very savvy with devices. My previous name was diddydriver, many people will know me by that name. I have not been on for a while due to my husband deteriorating with his dementia and me being in and out of hospital with lung and heart problems. I am at home at the moment and have to take it very easy. I have been reading most of the posts but not been well enough to reply. Take care everyone. X

I’m really sorry to hear that your partner is suffering from dementia. It must be hard for you especially you have not been well yourself. I hope you start to feel better soon.
Does your partner attend any day centres to give you a break.
Also hospice at home or something similar maybe able to give you a break during the day or at night.
Good to have you back.
Look after yourself dementia can be real hard on the carer.
All the best

Hope you & your husband will fare a bit better with hopefully a normal Spring coming along.
So glad to see you back. What a lot you have to deal with at the moment. I do hope that you have time and space to relax for a while, and look after yourself. Remember that we are here any time you want some cyber support!!
Do take care. Best wishes, Mavis xx
Cant add to anything that has been said. Thinking of you. Take care of yourself also.
Thankyou everyone for your kind remarks.. I do try to rest as much as possible but as you can imagine it is so hard to do. My hubby does go to day centre and he is going into respite for 10 days in may while I go on a cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. I can't wait!!!!!!
Welcome back!
Wishing you and your husband the best delighted to hear you’ll be having a well earned break- my mum had dementia and it’s very challenging and tiring caring for someone 24-7, particularly when health issues of ones own- breaks/ respite are essential to carry on giving and caring x
