Sulfazalazine again

So been taking sulfazalazine again. Third time lucky as felt very ill first two times but yet again feeling awful. I tend to feel quite agitated on it but this time I’ve also developed discomfort down below. Are UTis etc common with this drug.

Oh dear, why are they starting you on it again if it didn't suit the last two times?

Don't know about uni's but I had all manner of awfulness on that drug. Do hope you feel better soon

Because they are desperate as I don’t qualify for biologics and am very allergic to the other dmards

That's rough. Urinary tract infection might just be coincidence and nothing to do with the drug. You are brave trying the sulfasalazine again. If I was told to try it again I'm not sure I'd be polite!

You never know though...third time lucky. Fingers crossed for you.

Thats a blow ..... 3rd time. You are good to give it another go. Ive been on S for few months now and other than sickness in first couple of months im ok. No uti. Sorry no help.

Hi I’m the same as Ruth no problem with this drug and I’ve been on it for a couple of years now .. just one exception hair loss the drs are checking this out for me at the moment they say if it is due to S... it is a very rare side affects any one else have this problem xx

Could you get the docs to do a dip test maybe it's a coincidence x

My hair is thinning but I think its methx and thats slowed down but still happening. Dip test? ?
