I'm just finishing week 3 on my new drug Sulfasalazine and go up to 2g on Monday. I found its easier too take these separately as opposed too in one go. So far so good.
Yesterday I started getting cold like symptoms and today its hit hard.
I know my new drug is not an interacter with other drugs, but need to be sure before I take cold and flu capsules.
My chest feels like I have a heavy weight on it on top of having this horrible cold. (Which I never get)
Can anyone advise if its ok to take cold capsules on top of Sulfa, Dyhidrocodiene, Propanolol and Etoricoxib? (Not all at once though)
Thanks guys xx

Hi Angie, I have had both the flu &a cold virus & I take flu remedies &lemsips etc while on Sulphasalazine . The only thing I stop when I have a cold etc is my Methotrexate jabs as any analgesic makes the dose more concentrated. Hope you feel better soon xx
Im on a slightly different set of meds but does have methx and sulph as you and ive been told by rheumy last week I can take cold & flu tabs but I didnt till i had checked with him first, so as others say I suggest you check first. If you cant get out I would suggest that you phone your pharmasist for advice. Hope you feel better by now and are all sorted as your comment was yesterday. Take care.
