NRAS Group Meetings— Week Commencing 15th January 2018

Swansea NRAS Group

Meetings are held at Sketty Parish Centre, De La Beche Road, Sketty, Swansea, SA2 9AR.

15th January 3:30-5pm - Guest speakers: Sioned Rees & Kate John, Occupational Therapists from Singleton Hospital will present: 'Occupational Therapy and Rheumatoid Arthritis'

East Dorset NRAS Group

The East Dorset group meet socially for coffee from 11am at Stewarts Garden Centre, Lyndhurst Road, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 4SA. Next coffee meeting: 16th January.

Three Counties NRAS Group

This group meets at St. Francis Church Hall, 121 Upper Chobham Road, Frimley, Surrey, GU15 1EE from 7pm-9pm.

16th January - Guest speaker to be announced, check the NRAS website for the most up to date information.

Torbay NRAS Group

This group hold their meetings at Barton Baptist Church, Happaway Road, Barton, Torquay, TQ2 8HJ from 7-9pm.

16th January - New Year Social Evening. Informal chat, drinks and nibbles with members of the Torbay Rheumatology Team, including: Consultants Dr Kirsten Mackay & Dr Catherine Gwynne; Rheumatology Research Nurses and Alda Gomez, Tai Chi Instructor & qualified Psychotherapist. Not forgetting your NRAS Team!

West Wales NRAS Group

Meetings held at The Picton Centre, 104 Freemans Way, Haverfordwest, SA61 1UG from 6:30pm.

17th January - A member of the rheumatology team will be speaking to the group

Blackpool NRAS Group

Meetings held in the cafeteria at Clifton Hospital, Pershore Road, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 1PB from 7:00pm – 8:30pm.

18th January - Everyday living with RA - a social chat, no speaker

Croydon Area NRAS Group

Meetings held at Purley United Reform Church Hall, 906 Brighton Road, Purley, Surrey, CR8 2LN.

18th January - 'RA and how hand therapy can help' presented by guest speaker Miss Elaine Naughton B.Sc., M. OT, Hand Therapist for Croydon University Hospital

North Lincolnshire NRAS Group

Meetings held in the large meeting room at Cromwell Road Fire Station, Grimsby, DN31 2BN from 6:30-8:30pm.

18th January - Guest speaker Hannah Salah, Carers Support and Development Worker from The Carers’ Support Service in Grimsby will be talking to the group about the services and support they can offer.

Pembury & Tunbridge Wells NRAS Group

This group hold meetings at Langton Green Village Hall, Speldhurst Road, TN3 0JJ from 2pm - 4pm.

18th January - Guest speaker: Dr Mike Batley, Consultant Rheumatologist – keeping us up to date with our NHS plus a Q&A session. Local company Able Clothing will also be attending with items they make and sell.

Stoke on Trent NRAS Group

Meetings held in the outpatients waiting area at the Haywood Hospital, High Lane, Burslem, ST6 7AG from 7-8:30pm.

18th January - ‘The Way Forward’ - discussing ideas for future meetings and feedback on the meetings of last year

Yeovil NRAS Group

This year all coffee meets will be held at Palmers Garden Centre Coffee Shop, Bernards Way, Bunford Lane, Yeovil, BA20 2FH from 10:30am-12:00pm. Next coffee meet: 18th January

St Helens NRAS Group

Next meeting: Friday 19th January 1:30pm in the Taylor Park Centre, Grosvenor Road, St Helens, WA10 3HX - A social and planning meeting

Mid Somerset NRAS Group

Meetings are held at the Taunton Rugby Club, Hyde Lane, Bathpool, Taunton TA2 8BU.

Saturday 20th January 11am - Guest speaker: Jenny Chamberlain, Physiotherapist will present: 'Physiotherapy and Rheumatoid Arthritis'

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
