It's nerve racking the wait isn't it. I heard about mine aweek after my assessment, mind it was back.in 2015. Though my husband had his assessment in june, he hadn't heard anything for 3/4 weeks so he rang them up. They told him on the phone what his award was and that a letter would be in the post. So you could try ringing them, see what they say? Good luck, fingers crossed for you lovely. X Rie

They cover themselves by saying they'll contact you in due course but I received my award a fortnight after my assessment, this included the Christmas holidays. I have heard of people waiting up to 5 weeks but I suppose it depends on how quickly the agency send the report to the DWP & how long it takes the decision maker to consider if you're successful or decide your award. I'd phone the DWP if you've not heard by next week, certainly before the Christmas bank holidays.

I know it seems an endless wait, it's a case of a watched pot never boils, but hopefully you shouldn't have too much longer to wait.

You're not on your own...also had my reassessment two weeks ago tomorrow. I started worrying straight after as I don't think it went too well. Was told I'd hear in 4 - 6 weeks.

edit...it was 6 - 8 weeks not 4 - 6 as stated.

Just a quick bit of info in case it goes the wrong way. I heard that 81% of appeals are successful - PIP assessments are cited as the example of very poor decision making. So if it goes the wrong way please do not panic and instead appeal - over 4 out of 5 cases taken to appeal then get PIP awarded.

Don't worry about it. It was over six weeks before I heard from mine and with Christmas inbetween as well, it could be even longer for you.

My ESA assessment took a few weeks following my medical assessment. Try not to worry and keep positive.

Good luck, TT xx.
