I recently received MRI results indicating Tendinopathy , bursitis and have Tenosynovitis in hands and shoulders. I was looking for data on how many people with RA get STRS. How common are these conditions when you have RA?
Soft tissue Rheumatic Syndrome: I recently received MRI... - NRAS
Soft tissue Rheumatic Syndrome
I have PsA and suffer with all those things, plus joint damage.
Thank you. I was able to find articles which indicate this is not uncommon. What do you do to manage the relentless pain? Particularly when in bed. I cannot sleep on either side without waking due to pain. Also have bursitis which apparently is the cause.
Awful isn't it. Steroid shots help a bit, but don't last long enough for me. I'm about to try methotrexate to see if that will help. Tried sulfasalazine and leflunomide already.
As for pain? Codeine and paracetamol, and the odd nsaid. They take the edge off. Hot showers and electric blanket, and swimming.
I think until it's better controlled the pain is miserable.
Feel for you.
Agree with Nettac - until it is controlled the pain is miserable. I got this a lot in first years, but now very, very rarely. Body pillows helped me as could get myself into the least uncomfortable position and stay there.
