Was never aware how darkness affected body functions in a negative way and how light infact keeps us alive😳 Like plants who die without light but with much more complicated processes that we need the light for.

That's really interesting but wldn't let me open web page; other side of something i just read in last chapters of Why We Sleep (basically too much artificial and led light in modern world interrupting circadian rhythms and sleep). It might be my phone, try on laptop later, good to have a balance πŸ˜€

Yes, it made me think about my pets too! My cat and two hens adore the sun. I used to think it was just the heat or a feel good factor but there could be a biological advantage which could explain the feel good factor.

True enough! My dogs always lay in the sun even when it's really been hot they often prefer the sun. So it's just not about the comfotable warmth but about so much moreπŸ€”

Thank you Simba. Sunlight is the best cure most illnesses.

I recently read about Vit C, after a friend started getting bruises even though the platelet count was 287000. Found that Vit C deficiency should be the cause. While searching for information, I came across the information that People with RA always deficient in vit c.

So wanted to share it with you all.

Thank you Padram,

Very interesting link. Using C vit for decreasing pain seems to be something to try. I have just in fact started to take 3X1000mg of C a day to support my B3 supplementation so maybe I will get an additional benefit. xxSimba

I know, thanks for warning though. Never take Vit C after 16:00.

Why not get your Vit C from food? It's not that difficult to eat lots of vegetables and you save the expense of buying supplements and the risk of taking more than you need.

Very hard to get a clinical dose from food. The difference here that you are using a supplement like a med, with the exception that it lacks the ill effects of meds. What also important to note is the fact that the deficiency and need for many supplements is connected with your chronic illness that in fact depleats these important nutrients and normal food intake is not enough to fix the situation.

Yes Simba , this is what I too read. In fact after someone had written that vit c helped in increasing platelets, I started taking 1000 mg in two divided doses. Whether it helped with my platelets , I am not so sure, but my pain has certainly decreased. Am on it for the past 6 months. Since vit c is not stored in the body, I suppose it has to be taken every day.
