Wouldn't you Section a woman found under a bus wearing these under her black jeans? Actually....they don't look too bad in this photo....but you won't catch me wearing them in full view in public any time soon!

Me too! Though my kids would prob die of embarrassment. Again;-) x

AgedCrone profile image
AgedCrone in reply toLizzieR

That is what Mum's are for...to embarrass their kids especially at Christmas..buy them in a size too small..& wear them with white stilettos.....that will really hack off your kids

LizzieR profile image
LizzieR in reply toAgedCrone

Lol. Getting any colour stilettos on would be a major ERM feat - these days! Or at least walking in them would be! X

AgedCrone profile image
AgedCrone in reply toLizzieR

You don't need to be able to move Lizzie..just drag them on when the kid's friends come round ......sitting on a a bar stool would show them off to good effect! Maybe pink hair too?

LizzieR profile image
LizzieR in reply toAgedCrone

I'm gonna go for it;-) x

AgedCrone profile image
AgedCrone in reply toCherub198889

The postage would cost more than the leggings ..got them in a sale in the local supermarket for £6! Size8 Cherub!

Quite enough to pay for leggings that will never be seen outside my boudoir!

Cherub198889 profile image
Cherub198889 in reply toAgedCrone

Well,,,how dare you!....I too can fit into a Size8!.....I just have to sew two pairs of size 8s together!!! :)

I wouldn't bother wearing the jeans to be honest. Check leggings/trousers are very on trend at the moment and I think they look great. Where did you get them oh stylish but chilly lady?

AgedCrone profile image
AgedCrone in reply toGnarli

Sainsburys sale..but look closely...both LEGS don't match.....so one LEG looks fatter than the other!

But they are warm!

Gnarli profile image
Gnarli in reply toAgedCrone

Anyone looking at my legs that closely had better be a good friend. Anyone else is due a smack

AgedCrone profile image
AgedCrone in reply toGnarli

At my age as long as "they" look but don't touch, I'm grateful!!!

Cherub198889 profile image
Cherub198889 in reply toAgedCrone

Oh, AG....Yes, one of your legs does look fatter.... but aren't you glad these stretchies will hide your flaw?...hahaha :)

I am going to a christmas fair today so i might wear one of my Christmas jumpers.xxxx

Cherub198889 profile image
Cherub198889 in reply tosylvi

I think the word "jumper" in the UK means a sweater? Jumpers over in my neck of the woods means something else.

What were you doing under a bus? Not a good place to knit beards....or was that someone else??

I like the troosers, but wouldn't wear them on account of being a fatty. Stripes and checks, not a good look for me...not even Under jeans.

AgedCrone profile image
AgedCrone in reply toNettac

Oh I wear a thing under my jeans. Favourite is shocking pink from Aldi!

Cherub198889 profile image
Cherub198889 in reply toNettac

Ahhhh Nettac....get over it. You are a beautiful woman, so if you chose to wear stretchies....well...GO FOR IT!! Who cares what society thinks or says? If you are over the age of 50 you deserve to live your life in comfort. :)

sylvi profile image
sylvi

I love them and yes i would wear them, actually wait until you see my Christmas leggings well they are something else altogether.xxxx

AgedCrone profile image
AgedCrone in reply tosylvi

Actually in the photo they look quite wide, but they are in fact footless tights!l

Quite a sight as i Lie on my bed, legs in the air trying to get them off!!

Cherub198889 profile image
Cherub198889 in reply tosylvi

Oh, I love to see your Christmas leggings. I think I'll go buy a pair of Christmas leggings to wear with my ugly sweater....

Hey Sylvi, do you Brits have "Ugly Christmas Sweater' parties?

in reply toCherub198889

Christmas Novelty Jumpers. With Bells/Lights/Music etc etc. I'm sure last year i remember seeing a Christmas novelty onesie!!

That's definitely not one for me :)

Cherub198889 profile image
Cherub198889 in reply to

Oh Ruthytootie2, you don't know the fun you are missing!! Go out and buy one or make one of your own, then host an Ugly Sweater party :)

in reply toCherub198889

The Novelty jumper I could wear, but as for a onesie... I have a limit to my style of dress code, & it stops at onesies ;)

sylvi profile image
sylvi in reply toCherub198889

I don't,but i have heard about them. I have brought two Christmas tunics to wear to a couple luncheons we are going to in the coming weeks. Yes there will be photos to come.xxxx

Cherub198889 profile image
Cherub198889 in reply tosylvi

2 Vancouverites started a charity called "The Now that's Ugly Society" . This "Now that's Ugly Society" hosts the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at the Commodore Ballroom every December & all monies are donated to the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION. They also host " Runs" all over North America.

So for the last 15 years people who host "Ugly Christmas Sweater" parties, and can't get or afford the Commodore Ballroom tickets take donations from their guest and give to the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties have now taken off all over Canada & the USA. Time to get the UK involved....It's time to get UGLY!!!!

They look just the job... though like you it's not my style to wear them as intended. I might try your suggestion though & wear them under my jeans, I find if I'm not wearing my long down coat my thighs get cold. Thanks.

I like um! I know ppl say there's no accounting for taste, wink!

I almost bought a pair just like them yesterday in Select fashion store sale. But I already have so many like it. If you wear them with a plain black top and some pumps it's a classy with a twist look and your good to go imo!
