Two weeks since my allergic reaction to Sulfasalazine. I had a flare 3 days after my reaction which settled 2days ago. I phoned my Rheumatologist nurse to tell them I'd stop taking sulfasalazine got a letter today I've to be tested to see if I qualify for a biologic drug Etanercept or I'll be put on Leflunomide . Thanks to all you guys who replied to my last post.

Hi Jim1063, I too had a really bad reaction to Sulfasalazine many years ago, it was my first RA drug and I was really shocked at how I'll it made me.
I really hope you qualify for Etenercept as if it suits you this biologic could really help you as it did for me.
Good luck with your DAS 28 (Disease Activity Score) and your blood tests.
