Unfortunately yes I got the same with iv remicade. I didn't realise how unwell I was on it. But during the last infusion i had I had a very bad reaction and was taken off it there and then. The hospital for me sorted very quickly.

I'm now on Tocizilumab which is so far the answer to my prayers.

Drugs infortunately ( even paracetamol) can have side effects. But so worth it to avoid joint damage and when you get the right one it's great xxx

Feel better soon xxx

I agree but all the drugs especially iv are treat with caution. I know loads of people getting it on the day unit who are great !

But that's why the staff check you so often.

Get well soon x

Dear NancyMosca,

It really feels bad to read about these quite worrying reactions to RA meds, about the vicious circles of meds upon meds, drug induced problems and more meds. Looking at the exclusive RA med treatment from outside, learning about what it is to live with meds, has been a rollercoaster for me:( and my heart really goes out to you that have had these bad experiences. We all however make our choices and take the risks and trade offs that go with them, it should always be a personal choice that should be respected by fellow sufferers and rheumies. I hope your situation will calm down soon. All the best. Simba

Thank you everyone for replying. I am doing fine now but it took me 4 weeks and large doses of steroids to get better. Currently, not taking any medication. Rhmy wants me to start Cimzia. Very gunshy.

Not what you're looking for?
