I've just started on Sulfasalazine for RA and I just wanted to make sure I've picked up the dosage instructions correctly.
I'm taking 1x500g tablet in the morning for one week, 2x500Mg tablets in the morning for week 2, then 2 in the morning and one in the evening for week 3, then 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening for week 4.
Is this the correct way to take them?

Your pharmacy should have written out the doctor's instructions on the boxes - as doctors can vary in the way they want you to take them. But that sounds like a pretty normal way to build up the dosage. Can't remember exactly what I did to start with, but something very similar.
I strongly recommend to get in touch with the person who described the medication for clarification. Nobody on this forum is qualified to give medical advice! We're all different, so dosage etc cannot be applied equally to everybody. All the very best and I hope Sulfasalazine helps you as much as it did help me.
yep i did similar ; wk 1 one tab w/food; wk 2 one tab a,m and 1 w/dinner; wk 3 two in a,m and 1 and 1 @ dinner; wk 4 - two in morning and 2 in p.m. Had a bad taste for a while but after 6 months cut back to 2tabs daily and am doing ok so far. Bloods seem ok and appts every 9-12 months so won't have to admit till November. good luck x
