Some of you may remember that I posted on here a while ago about my painful clawed hand (not dupytrens). I was hoping at that time that my consultant would remove my ring and little finger but he didn't agree and after having surgery on my elbow to see if this would help (unfortunately didn't) he couldn't offer me any other surgery. I saw another surgeon a few weeks ago who is considering fusing fingers at the proximal interphalangeal joint at a 30 degree angle. I have my thumb fused on the opposite hand but just wondered if any of you wonderful people had had these 2 fingers fused. How do you manage? And how do you cope at work(I'm an ophthalmic nurse). Any help gratefully received. Many thanks. Xx
