Oh how exciting π I wish you all the best and will be really interested in how you get on - I should be starting mine in the next week or two too π
Best of luck. Humira got me into long term remission when nothing else did.
Thanks everyone. Red skin at the injection site but no other side effects so far πππ
I too am waiting they have applied for i was told would have it in3 weeks am still waiting 7 weeks on have phoned hospital RA helpline also waiting for them to get back to me. I am flaring really bad at present it can't come soon enough. Good luck with yours xx
I just did my 5th injection on Monday but no improvement yet however it was a bit hitty missy at first because I got a cough & chest infection twice. Advised to take antihistemene pills day before & 2/3 days after. But my own GP tested my bloods and said my iron was quite low & prescribed folic acid pills one a day for 3months - Ive had no more coughs or chest infections so could carry on injections. Also only had red patch after 1st injection and none since.
Please do t make the silly mistake I did & 1st time I did it on my very own - I was so anxious I held the pen upside down & started to inject my thumb instead of my leg ! Having to take 2 caps off each end confused me. When I was doing Methotrexate it was just one cap ! I felt so silly when I told Rheumy nurse but she just laughed & said "you are nit the first & wont be the last" so had to wait 2 weeks before I could inject again. What a waste of time & meds. Silly me.
Yes I tried to press the button before realising there was an extra cap the end too π
