NRAS Group Meetings— Week Commencing 8th May 2017
Great Yarmouth NRAS Group
The Great Yarmouth & Waveney NRAS Group meet in the ‘Buzz Room’ of the Louise Hamilton Centre, James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, NR31 6LA from 5:30pm-7:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month.
Tuesday 9th May - Social meeting
Mid Somerset NRAS Group
Meetings are held at the Taunton Rugby Club, Hyde Lane, Bathpool, Taunton TA2 8BU. Please note that some meetings are held on a Saturday morning but most meetings are held on a Tuesday evening.
Tuesday 9th May 7pm - 'Who cares? An introduction to the campaign work of NRAS to improve RA care' presented by Conn O'Neill Policy & Public Affairs Manager – NRAS
Oxford NRAS Group
Meetings are held in the Lecture Theatre at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Windmill Road, Oxford OX3 7LD on Tuesdays every other month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
9th May - Guest speaker: Helen Stevens, Physiotherapist will talk about Osteoporosis
Mid Cornwall NRAS Group
The Mid Cornwall NRAS group meet at Carnon Downs Village Hall, Tregye Road, Carnon Downs, Truro TR3 6JQ every other month on a Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
10th May - Not ANOTHER blood test!? Andrew Pothecary, Rheumatology Specialist Pharmacist will talk about what your blood tests mean
Weston-super-Mare NRAS Group
Meetings are held in Conference Room 1 at The Campus, Highlands Lane, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 7DX monthly on a Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
10th May - Guest speaker: Cathal Boyle, Specialist Nurse will be talking about biologics and the difference between specialist nurses and rheumatologists
Worcester NRAS Group
Bi-monthly meetings take place on Wednesdays between 6.45pm to 8.30pm at the Lyppard Hub in Ankerage Green, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 0DZ.
10th May - The group will focus on forthcoming events, (social and fundraising events etc.), plus discuss the forthcoming RA Awareness Week
Southend-on-Sea NRAS Group
Meetings take place every other month in the Meeting Room at the Salvation Army Citadel (opposite Morrisons), 146-148 London Road, Hadleigh, Essex, SS7 2PF.
Wednesday 10th May 6:30pm - 8pm - Dr Koduri, Rheumatology Consultant from Southend Hospital will host a Q&A session
North Essex NRAS Group
This group meet on the second Thursday of every other month at the St. John's Church Community Centre, St. John's Close, Colchester, CO4 0HP (parking available on site) from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

St Helens NRAS Group
The group meets every other month in Room 8 at St. Helens Town Hall, Victoria Square, St. Helens, WA10 1HP from 6.30pm to 8pm.
Thursday 11th May - 'Blood test results explained' by Angela Cox, Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialist
West Wales NRAS Group
Ongoing group meetings will take place in the Renal Unit Seminar Room at Withybush General Hospital, Fishguard Rd, Haverfordwest SA61 2PZ.
Thursday 11th May 2017 from 6.30pm - Guest speaker: Disability Adviser from the Department for Work and Pensions
Gwent NRAS Group
All future meetings of the Gwent NRAS group will be held on the second Saturday of alternate months at Caerphilly Library, The Tywn, Caerphilly, CF83 1JL from 9:30am.
13th May - Guest speaker Andrew West will present: 'A brief introduction to Tai Chi and how it can help arthritis'
