Health insurence for travel that cover Ulcerative Colitis

I am moving to Barcelona from Australia for a few years and I am having trouble finding an insurence that will cover me and my condition while I am away. Can anyone tell me if they know of an insurence that will give me cover?

Sounds like an amazing trip! I'm interested in seeing the replies you get as I was also thinking about writing a post on here asking people for travel insurance options to cover AS when we go away in the summer. Are you looking for an Australian based insurance company? I'm based in the UK.

A company called Columbus direct have covered me following spine surgery and with back issues that caused my normal insurer to refuse cover. I won't post a link because not sure the site rules allow it but google will help.

They are a uk company so may not be much use for an Australian in Spain, but for others reading it may be useful and shows that there are companies that cover medical conditions. They need to be specialist insurers, at the end of the day you can insure pretty much anything if you are prepared to pay the premium.

It is horrendously expensive though.

Edited to say: just seen your other post and see that it is for a few years, not sure if it's travel insurance or health insurance you are after?

You might be best asking an insurance broker for advice as they will have access to many different types of insurance cover.

I use an online comparison site less for medical problems, I have a long list ! and found it to be very competitive. I had to make a claim in 2015 as was too ill to travel to the states, it was a new condition so they paid me out. X
