That didn't occur to me! I've always edited mine on my tablet (or iPad now) only because I find it easier being that bit bigger than my iPhone!

That's so nice ! I am old now 57! I make myself free, does that sound weird ? Even when I'm in pain I will still do what was planned, it's rare I give into it. To me if you want to do something. Take painkillers , ask for help if you can, use scooters , anything to distract me from the situation . Music and outdoors make me forget or push my woes to the back of my mind.

Works for me , no idea why , and yes I pay for it lol but it's worth it !

That picture is as a caravan holiday in France which we love as when I'm tired it's easy to rest , we can drive around seeing places which is easier too , and the food and wine 🍷 s great lol!!

You go girl!!! This is the life that we are delt. I refuse to think my life is over, so I love to play too.

France? How exciting. The wine, the architecture what can I say? Wow, one day my hubby and I will travel to Europe. We plan to go within the next 2 years.

Live, Laugh and Love is our motto!

I need some of your hutzpah A! I think I'm similar and do plenty of crazy things then a few days or more of paying the price. But would or have you flown to Australia or NZ I wonder?this is where my gung-ho blitz spirit is failing me just now. Oldest son has to decide whether to stay on for 3 years and keeps requiring me to commit to a visit. The thought of the 24 hour flight makes me feel totally wimpish!

Even flights to and from NYC a few years ago seemed terrible to endure. My painful neuropathy went mad with the stockings, but my legs threatened to combust without them - hands similar - not to mention the sicca of Sjogrens and the GI issues making the whole thing a nightmare. And no way can we afford to travel business class unfortunately.

So how would you deal with this as my ultimate Sjogrens/ RA role model - please advise?! X

She would get extra leg room , take lots too biotene gel with a label on as your prescription name on it . Buy lots of water , the airline staff have given me free water when I explain my illness.

Also get up and walk every fifteen minutes and do leg and ankle turns .

Take a blow up pillow so you can sleep and a small blanket ! ( although they often supply these)

Take your neuro pain killers regularly thro the flight .

Distract yourself with a movie ! Passes the time and takes your mind off it.

I would discuss with your doctor whether you need the stockings and if they are aggravating you . Sometimes they can start great alternatives .

And just think of the amazing time you will have when you see him!!!

Yes plan rest and pain killer dats but it will be worth it I think, what an adventure !!!

Also get assist from the airline , saves carrying bags, walking long distances when stuff and you get through security and customs as a priority and they are very understandingthat you will have high powered drugs with you . Just gave a doctors prescription sheet with you for them all and try to keep them in the packets, defo have them in your hand luggage in case your luggage goes astray!

in reply toallanah

Ugh I guess all this is possible A - I'll try and see it as a great adventure but I can't really promise to! Thanks for giving me some practical tips and trying to get me enthused at least! X
