Pain of broken replacements.

gosh what week... I had terrible pain in my ring and little finger so went to GP who told me to go to A&E. What an experience, the doctor looked at my X-rays and didn't know what my knuckle replacements were even though I'd told the nurse. So I've got one broken with bone on bone and a missing bit and one half broken its so painful but he didn't know what to do so put fingers in tubigrip with tape round and an appointment to go back next day. I decided to phone the hospital where I had them done and can see my surgeon this Thursday so only let local hospital put plaster on to keep it stable. There was no way I was going to let them touch me when neither doctor knew what to do.... just have to cope for a few more days.

Ouch! Hang on in there! It seems easier all round to see the original surgeon, at least they will know what they did to you!

Oh ouchie, poor you. I'm so sorry! At least you get to see the surgeon soon. I'm the mean time, can you see your GP for different medication if the pain is too much?

Thank you, I've tried almost every pain med going over the years and they all make me very ill so have to stick with co-codamol. They are not great but at least it helps a bit.
