I would like to know if this happens to anyone, I try working out by walking for an hour but when ever I walk and I get hot my hands swell didn't start until I started taking Methotrexate

MTX
May be worth trying some compression gloves when walking and keep moving fingers- I know they can make your hands hot as well but they help me when needed. I tend to buy black fingerless ones from A**mz as they wash reasonably well, last a fair time and have a bit of grippy stuff on them - its better in winter as everyone just thinks you are wearing normal gloves but if it makes things better it has to be done. Not sure whether it would have anything to do the MTX as I cannot tolerate it. Farm
My hands do exactly the same. They did this though before on methotrexate . I thought it was just me and normal. Pleased sort of I am not alone .
I think it might be more to do with the way you walk. I think it might help if you swing your arms when walking so your hands aren't dangling down by your side all the time. I hope this makes sense.
My hands are always hot now, so much so people comment all the time (I'm an Auxilliary Nurse) I hadn't really put two and two together but kind of fits.
My hands get like that too when I walk, I presume it's because your arms aren't doing very much & if you think about it all the blood must be rushing down to the hands which in turn makes them swell and feel stiff, well that's my theory, but who knows I could be wrong!
