Feeling A little better
Still go as flares come and go . X
My rheumatologist told me if I do have any flare, just walk in to see her. So I think you have to go to see your rheumaologist immediately.
Hi hurt slot.
Not sure what has prompted this quextion now but I,would say forest port of call would be to ring your Rheumy nurse.He/ she may be able to,give some advice via the telephone,or they can tell you to come down to the, surgery, for further investigation.Clinics over the country seem to work on a different basis but this is what would happen with.mine.
But if you have a flare it needs to be seen to,now so,if you, are,,able to,just turn up.then do just that.
Hope you will improve soon.
Take care.
Crusee.

Yes, in a word. This disease does come and go, and you an have periods of feeling better followed by awful flares. And especially with your history of strokes you need to make sure you have the inflammation under control.
Also, don't stop taking your meds until you've talked it through with a doctor. Some things, like steroids, can have very nasty effects if you stop them suddenly.
It's good that you're feeling better, but taking your meds and seeing the doctor is the best way to stay feeling better!
I'm afraid so, it is a chronic disease & whilst we can feel better when established for long periods it's only because of the meds we take, lifestyle & food. It's good that you feel well enough to question it though it does sound as though the disease pathway wasn't explained to you fully by your Rheumy, or maybe it was too much to take in so do ask at your next appointment. In the meantime have a read through the NRAS website nras.org.uk or Arthritis Foundation arthritis.org. You've already been affected adversely in the form of both a stroke & mini strokes so particularly important for you to be as well controlled as possible & any problems reported promptly before any more related problems occur.
