Did this make hips flare

I was messing about the other day with hubby (kind of play fighting and nothing else!!) and I said go careful of my hips as he was pulling my legs. Now would over stretching the hip joints (not excessive for normal people but to the point of restrictive movement for me) have caused them to flare? Just kind of wondering if pain is because of over stretching or the over stretching caused a flare. Reading that back sounds confusing so hope you can get my meaning. I've had a dull throbbing (toothache pain) in both hips now for three days since. No pain killers are helping. I have three 12 hour night shifts in a busy A&E department to look forward to now too. Ugh!!!!!!!
