Hi, After my first two loading doses of Cimzia, I felt tired and nauseous for on the 2nd day after injecting as it reached a peak in my system. Then, afterwards fine no morning stiffness or pain. Feeling really good for the first time in a number of years.
On Tuesday I injected my third loading dose. In the middle of Wednesday night I woke up to pain in some of my joints.and nausea. It got worse my legs would not support my body, I felt dizzy to the point of passing out. I was completely out of it, so my husband informs me. It eventually faded .I spent all Thursday in bed in a restless sleep.
Has anyone had a similar experience on Cimzia if so what was the outcome?

Hi I use CIMZIA ,for a year, but from the first visit at my Reumathologist, I told her I would not do a double dose of any medication NO LOADIND dose for me, I take the risks for the the med to work slowly , I don't care a long a takes , I got some bed reaction on different medication in the past, I am very sensitive , (CIMZIA took long to work on me )
SO I did one injection at the time every 2 weeks and NO SIDE efect , (When we get Home whit a new medication of this caliber we alone,!!!)we don't take the doctor whit us, it is our body , and we don't know how our body will react , I allways applay this philosophy whit any strong med , that one of the reason I will not do a biologic infusion, I read a lot of very Traumatic story from people like me and you
Sorry to hear you have had such a adverse reaction to drugs in the past.
This is my first biologic, and I was relieved when it was prescribed You are of course right, no professional is with you, past the first two loading doses and it took me 48 hours after injecting for a reaction. Hopefully ,now the loading doses are finished with the maintenance dosage will not have such a dramatic affect.
I am going to speak to my rheumy team for advice.
Thank you for replying, I am pleased your slowly, slowly approached worked for you.
