I'm just so tired of hurting 😢 Every day feels like a battle just to get through the the day. It's so exhausting being in so much pain all day every day. Will it ever get better?

Hi Twinks yes it is a ****** (insert favourite expletive) some days. Sorry it's getting you down.

I was reading some old posts on here the other day when I was a bit down, and someone said that the worst period of RA/RD is at the start, then with meds etc rheumy finding out what helps etc, things start to get better.New to all this too. Some days seem better than others, I hope you're feeling better soon.

Gentle hugs to you.

Take care xxxx

Everyday is different and hopefully the bad day is only temporary and given meds and time things will hopefully improve. It's horrible feeling like this though, daily life shouldn't be a battle. Lots of love x

Its 1.30 am and I have just given up trying to sleep because I am in such pain. Its always good to know you are not alone which is why I am reading these posts at such an ungodly hour. I have been diagnosed with RA for 8 months and have tried sulphasaluzine (didn't help) and now have been on MTX jabs for 4 months and they don't seem to be working either. I know just how you feel. I think that you just have to hold on on there and keep as positive as possible. Enjoy life as much as you can and it will get better once the correct medication is found for you. Fingers crossed that it doesn't take too long.

OMG!!! I know how you feel. I too am sick and tired of one day leading into the other waiting for the DMARDS to kick in!!!

I wish you well

Sue

The pain for me is the hardest thing as well. To go through it day after day without remission is so wearing and I dont think anyone who does not have this evil disease or similar can really appreciate or understand what it does to you. Be as gentle with yourself as you can as often as you can. You are not alone.

It is very difficult when you are in the middle of it all to remember that it was different once! But hang on in there, it WILL be better! Then you will quickly forget how awful it was until the next time...

I believe most of us have gone through periods of extreme pain and fatigue and it's not a place where we want to be. Don't get frustrated with yourself. Allow yourself to feel bad. Take it as easy as you can. Treat yourself to something that will make you feel a little better. It will get better. I send you a big dose of hope and strength. Keep us up to date please.

I have felt normal, and even better than before I had RA. So it is possible. I wish someone had told me that in the beginning. Life doesn't have to get worse and worse. Take care of yourself right now and watch for the light behind the clouds. It's there.

Life is a battle especially when you have something like this that is invisible to everyone else. You will have days when you feel better I do believe its about doing the best you can and staying as positive as you can but as all of us know on this site that is not easy...

Try and focus each day on something good and it will help your day seem better take care

Will it get better ? Truthfully ... Yes and no. Be easy on yourself and don't expect too much. Fight to have a positive mind, keeping things in perspective is dam hard. Find pain relief that works for you, wear splints, use aids to help, correct footwear, chunky handles on cutlery. ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that helps make life/living easier for you. Draw up a list of things that will help you. Only YOU will know what these are. Take care xxxx

Oh how we all know those feelings. I slipped on nasty substance in July last year it sent me into serious RA Flare. Broke my shoulder and my opposite wrist, right arm in sling and left wrist in splint. Only now am I feeling better but thought I would never get to this stage. Still got a way to go my meds are being changed because tummy gets too upset on Sulfasalazine . This site is great because I find things out without feeling like a nuisance to my GP. I use the Phoneline too they are very helpful. keep your chin up and soon the Sun will Shine, big hug
