Sylvie, you're certainly in the wars at the moment. I had phlebitis about 5 years ago and it was really painful, but it eased slowly with plenty of leg elevation and an electric warming pad.
Thank you Caroyn,i have had it for a couple of weeks now and haven't done anything about it and yesterday i looked it up on the internet as i thought that was what it was,so drs this morning to confirm.
Hey ho ho it will soon be Christmas and then we can have some nuts!!!!
Sylvi you are looking great! Sorry to hear of this new illness (something you could have done without). I think you are coping remarkably well and truly hope you get better soon.
My dad has had phlebitis for yrs. He has to keep putting cream on it so the skin doesn't dry out. You have to be careful that it doesn't ulcerate, as that can be for painful. I have an area of skin that is a funny Chriscolour and the GP makes sure that its not hot and that i dont scratch it.
Hope you soon get over it sending hugs. It would help you to have a bit of good luck. XXX
