Cold and flu

Hi

Can anyone tell me if you can take Beechams powders I am loaded with cold and Beechams are the only thing that works for me. I am on sulfasalazine

Check what's in them is it paracetamol? Best to check with a pharmacist if you can. We shouldn't give medical advice really. I hope you feel better soon. Lots of fluids, hot lemon and honey.

I don't know about sulfasalazine but not with Thyroxine although no idea why. I just had flu despite the injection and it was awful so dread to think how ill I would have been without the injection. I made a pear preserve a few weeks ago with cider vinegar and honey, we'd eaten the pears as "pickled" and the recipe said the liquor was nice with soda water. So I tried it with hot water and it was great. I'd also recommend the spice cordial the Green Bottle make its very soothing although has no active ingredient it just makes me feel better. Just some ideas really. Hope your feeling better soon .

As Cathie says we can't give medical advice, you really should ask a Pharmacist but it's main ingredients are aspirin & codeine. Do you only take SSZ or do you take NSAIDs as well? If you do that would be my concern, as it's not to be used with other NSAIDs.
