Are you experienced in patient and public engagement?

Would you like to help influence how patients and the public are involved in research in Manchester in the future?

If you are interested, join us on 24th November 2015, between 2pm-4pm.

Manchester’s largest hospitals together with the University of Manchester are working together to develop several large grants to support clinical research in Greater Manchester. Involving patients and the public in the development of these grants is an essential part of the process. Therefore, we would like to invite patient and public contributors to give their input. We would like you to help with the plans for how patients and the public will be involved in the research. Covering areas such as, when should patients and the public be involved, what are the likely roles for patients and the public in the research process, what support is needed for effective involvement etc. We understand that there is a lot of expertise that we can learn from, and we also hope that this session will provide lots of opportunities to learn from one another.

All travel expenses will be reimbursed and refreshments will be served.

Places are limited so please apply for a place by 30th October 2015 on the website here: eventbrite.co.uk/e/shaping-...

Please also email ceri.harrop@manchester.ac.uk stating in no more than 3 sentences why you would like to be considered for this event. If you are successful, we will confirm your place by November 4th 2015.
