Only four days left.........

Good morning everyone,i hope this wet and miserable Wednesday finds you as well as you can be. For me there is only four days left until my operation and i must admit i am getting a little bit nervous. I know i will be fine and well looked after, but it hasn't stopped the nerves.

On Monday i had a dose of menieres go off. The room went round and the vertigo kicked in. I ended up being sick again and i had to go to bed for a while and i slept for over an hour. My head has been a bit delicate this morning and ever since the attack. i think it might be nerves over this op,daft i know, but there you go. Also this morning my joints in my hands are killing me and i don't know where to put them.

Hugs to everyone who needs one.xxxxxx

You must just think about the end product. Hopefully you will be thinner, fitter. Hopefully not in so much pain.

Good luck , you are a brave lady. Sending you hugs, also some for hubby he might need some as well at the end of it all.

I know how you feel. We were talking about my op for the 5th and decided the best thing was to go into parcel mode and just let things happen. I hope you'll keep us up to date with things as soon as you feel able. Hugs, C

Take care.

I have been thinking of you Sylvi and counting down with you. You are bound to be nervous, it's natural, but you are a strong and courageous lady and have shown that already by making the decision to have surgery. I, like many others, will be looking out for your updates when you feel strong enough to post.

Stay strong and think of the end results.

Good morning everyone, well here i am with three days to go and twice this week my menieres has gone off and yesterday when it happened was the worst of the two. So i feel very fragile again this morning. My hands are very sore as well, but i am still resolute about having this op and i think in the long run it will be the best thing for me. Thank you all for your support and i will keep you all updated.xxxxx

Wednesday is now over in Western Canada and it was a beautiful fall day :) I know that you are nervous about your op. Try to think of the future and the benefits your joints will feel. You can do it and always know that I'm proud of you!!!

All the best to you Sylvi!!!!

Sending you my love from Vancouver BC

First off, I'm so sorry your Menier's is acting up!! Here's sending gentle healing hugs that you get over it SOON!

And I understand completely where you are coming from about being nervous about the op! I've had loads of surgeries through the years for one thing then another, but my gastric-by-pass surgery was the scariest for me out of all the rest. I didn't understand it. I'd never been frightened before when I needed surgery. Maybe it's because this surgery has the potential of being a life changing event? It has the potential to make you healthier and more mobile. It's going to scary, but oh so worth it in the end!! Hugs!

Your right about it being scariest op and yes it will be life changing. I have got a few friends who have had the op.One had the band privately, one had a complete bypass and another one has had the sleeve which is what i am having, the last two had theirs on the nhs. So far i haven't had another attack so fingers crossed.

Thank you for your kinds words of support they are appreciated.xxxx

Is it the band or the bypass you're having, sylvi? Best of luck, I've been following your updates. :)
