It;s one flew over the cuckoo's nest out there....My local shop looks like its been looted, what on earth is going on with normally sensible people...!! My daughter met an elderly lady this morning who tried to get into Asda for a single packet of cereal only to be told by the security guard it was extremely busy and she might just get hurt in the crowd. Really... it's about time these crazy people stopped and thought for a minute
Rant over... sorry my post isn't RA related but i just felt the to vent

What winds me up is that the supermarkets had full page adverts in the Sunday papers saying not to panic, there's enough stock, their supply chain is well ordered etc. I've also had emails from all the major supermarkets saying the same.... I went to Aldi yesterday - nothing available. Tesco 'superstore' today - no tins, fresh meat , loo rolls or anything really. I know people are being stupid but also think the supermarkets could get their backsides in gear and get stock on shelves.
I went to our local Sainsbury's an hour ago, and many shelves were empty. There were an unusual number of staff working on refilling the shelves and I would not blame the staff or supermarket management in any way at this most unusual and difficult time.
Yes, I have worked in a shop. I wasn't blaming the staff at all. My point was, why take out adverts reassuring people there is no supply problem when there obviously is (caused, as I said, by panic buying).
Where are they putting all this food are they buying new freezers to store all the meet and fresh goods? I have only done a normal shop that I do every month and my freezer is full. 🤷♀️is it all going to spoil before they eat it?
Went to small local shop to buy canned tomatoes as I am planning to make a chilli and need two cans for it wasn't expecting to find any but I did. Had so many judging looks while waiting in a queue. It's not like I had 20 in my hands 😂 people definitely gone crazy
My friend does her mother in-laws shopping the same time as her own she bought one bottle bleach for her and one bottle for her mother in law. They wouldn’t let have 2. So all those lovely people who offer to shop for their neighbour when they go shopping won’t be able to buy things due to this greed.
