Hi Lexiemay13

I've got osteoarthritis in the base of my spine , I know the feeling about trying to stay positive . But don't help when I can't work because A- my company won't let me back until I'm fit. B - because of medication I'm on it becomes an issue too, been off since July . It's just frustrating as I know my limitations .

Sorry for going on

When i got made redundant 6yrs ago i got told by my Remploy advisor that i was no longer fit for work and sadly he was right and i haven't worked since. I too try to stay upbeat. xxxxx

I can relate to this 2 years ago I when was diagnosed was started on sulfazalasine no change then after a year metetrexate was introduced 20mgs since then I have been back and forward having to get kenalog injections to get me by now I feel I'm back to square 1 every joint is affected and the last straw is my feet I'm now shuffling instead of walking I've been off work for 4 months although I tried to go back but only lasted 1 week I've got my consultant next month but I had to phone my reumy nurse last week to see if I could get an earlier appointment but I'm still waiting for her to phone back I'm sorry for rambling on but I'm at a stage now where it's affecting me mentally and physiciclly take care everyone

We live in hope dont we. Thats not an easy thing but sometimes the small things help to keep you going. And to know there are other people in the same boat

It's hard to keep going but do your best, I'm lucky that I am now an OAP but it still hurts!! My family are the reason I keep going mostly my grandchildren whom I love dearly and my partner is very supportive and has learnt to "take me as he finds me". Keep your chin up.
