Had the worst nights sleep ever with my hip pain last night must have woke up every hour couldn't get comfy 😤😩 as couldn't lay on my left side was in pain all night still there this morning just gonna try and get in the bath x

Does it hurt most when lying on the bad side or the good-side? I have suffered trochanter bursitis in both hips and the hip on top was always the worse f the two, typical of this bursitis apparently. My GP injected steroid into both sides, a whopping needle but both sides improved within a few days and was then able to lie asleep in comfort. I believe it can be associated with previous spinal problems, such as my fractures but both are fine now. It was my physiotherapist who diagnosed the problem and sent her opinion to the GP who luckily accepted her diagnosis! and followed her recommendation of local steroid infiltration.

Just had this, mine worsened lying on my side and walking of going up a step, it was bursitis and my GP put a steroid injection in.

It wasn't too painful as he put local in too but it was sore and buried for the first few days then much better.

Get someone to look at it xx

My hips have been problematic, especially when I am trying to sleep. I have a tempurpedic mattress which is a big help and I also use a lot of pillows in different positions. Good luck! Cheers Doreen
