Awaiting a diagnosis from Rheumy, having chest pain on left side like small electric burst of pain. Was admitted for query heart attack three weeks ago and bloods all normal. Could it be linked to RA?

Do you have fibromyalgia?

Hi no diagnosis yet from Rheumy team. They said I have an auto immune disease but are awaiting further test results so far my bloods have all been negative only one raised ESR .

Hi.

l have fibromyalgia and seronegative arthritis. Have had pains in my chest and checked up in hospital a couple of times.

I think these pains were linked to my fibro.

Always good to get them checked quickly tho.

I hope you get a diagnosis soon, in the meantime could you call the Rheumy nurse for advice?

Hi I haven't actually got a rheumy nurse, but have got an appointment in two weeks with rheumy consultant so hope to get something sorted. Keep having different symptoms so bit worried as still no diagnosis. Thanks for advice x

Have you checked out costochondritis? I've not had it but I've heard people say it feels like they imagine having a heart attack feels, very painful. Have a read of this link & see if you recognise the symptoms. nhs.uk/conditions/Tietzes-s...

Hi yes I read about this and sounds exactly like my current symptoms. I have just got jaw pain under control and now this. Trouble is when it happens it's excruciating and I double over. Yet it suddenly stops after about 10 minutes or so. Thanks for help x

I am seronegative with 75 esr. I was diagnosed April after being ill since Nov. I get the pains and have had pleurisy and pneumonia 4 times with it. All part of RA. Acid reflux can also cause it

Do you get any inflammation? They seem reluctant to diagnose me as although I have a lot if pain I only have occasional swelling and nothing so far in bloods apart from an initial raised ESR.

Yes get inflammation. I think it is down to the rheumatologist you get. Don't give up. Took from nov to April to get my diagnosis.
