Well it seems I might be getting tocilizumab injections after a 5 month wait. I'm really hoping this treatment works for me.

Anybody using this & what's your experience? Also does it sting like humira?

This was only available as an infusion when I tried it so would be interested to know how often you have to inject. As an infusion I had neutropenia and had to stop. Farm

Hi I've been on the monthly infusion for five years, took part in my local hospital trial for the drug, it changed my life ! Three months ago started weekly injections these did not agree with me, and now back on TCZ infusion, if this drug works for you it has great results

2 years on the infusions, didn't know weekly injections existed. No side effects experienced, changed my life also. Good luck :)

Hi Rachel43 I started these injections 7 weeks ago and no they don't sting like you asked I have injected Humira and Imbrel also I have had Infliximab infusions in the past and have found it only stings if you use it straight out of the fridge, I now allow the syringe to come up to room temperature if left out of the fridge for 30 minutes

My CRP has all ways been high at its highest a reading of 137 my last blood test was CRP 4 after being on this Tocilizumab for 7 weeks good result. I inject weekly.

Been on tocs injection 5months and it's working well. It made me dizzy to start with but injecting slowly helps and drinking lots of water. No side effects other than raised liver enzymes caused by the drug. Within 2 weeks of starting tocs I noticed a reduction in swelling, the tocs will knock your crp reading right down so the crp is not a very accurate marker for inflammation.

Best of luck Rachel, hope it works well for you.
