Has anyone tried Medicur electronic device for pain relief? It is used in some hospitals with success. I would like to try it as I hate taking drugs with side effects. It is expensive though.

I'd see if your GP or, if you attend one pain clinic would lend you one to try before you buy. I'm one who gets no benefit from TENS machines so guess even though it's not the same it works on a similiar principle & it's a considerable amount of money as you say it you find it doesn't work for you.

Alternatively I would speak to your GP about your pain relief. It could be there's different pain relief you may not have side effects from. I know some people are sensitive to many strong pain relievers prescribed, my h included & it's surprised me how effective a regular dose of paracetamol can be. It's the only pain relief my h has needed since his Fentanyl patch was removed whilst still in hospital. The dose does need to be regular though otherwise it's not effective.
